Visit a historic wine estate in Marsala on a half-day tour, and learn about some of Sicily’s best-known wine. With a guide, you’ll explore the winery, then sit down to sample four varietals grown on the estate along with local cured meat, cheese, bread, and olives. Afterward, visit a nearby restaurant for an aperitif or lunch with wine—the choice is yours.
Make your own way to the winery in Marsala, and meet your guide at 10am for a tour of the historic estate. In operation for some 160 years, the winery produces some of Sicily’s leading wine, and you’ll learn about its production as you explore.
When the tour ends, sit down for a tasting session, and sample four varietals of the estate’s prized wine. The glasses are paired with local snacks such as salami, bread, cheese, olives, and olive oil.
What happens next depends on the tour you booked. If you selected the Aperitif option, you’ll visit Ciacco Putia Gourmet for a tasting of its sweet Marsala wine. If you booked the Lunch option, you’ll head into the town center for a full tasting lunch, where dishes are paired with local wine. The menu is subject to change, but typical dishes include Sicilian bruschetta, couscous made with fish stock, almonds biscuits, and Modica Chocolate. Your experience ends inside the restaurant.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
