Start your cycle adventure in the morning from Bike Point Las Americas, Costa Adeje. Once you’ve been briefed on the trip itinerary, strap in for your trip to the top, enjoying the services of a cycle guide and support van throughout the ride.
Depending on your level of cycling ability you’ll be placed into one of two pace groups. Those who are up to it will be placed in the ‘advanced’ group, which will cover a total of between 42 and 54 miles (68 to 87 kilometers) and between 5,500 and 6,500 feet (1,680 and 2,000 meters) of elevation gain during their ride. Meanwhile, those in the ‘intermediate’ group will traverse 41 miles (67 kilometers) and 3,700 feet (1,130 meters) of elevation gain.
During your ride, you’ll pass through a changing island landscape of pine tree forests that slowly transitions to a more stark, moon-like, landscape at the higher altitudes. You’ll also have time to take a break mid-ride for an included Canary Islands-style lunch. Snacks like biscuits, bananas, electrolytes and water will also be available through the trip to keep you fueled up.
