This is the perfect way to visit all the sites in Rome. The full trip takes around 2 HR because of heavy traffic.

The meeting points of the buses were not very easy to find. They came quite often and never had to wait long. At one point we loaded on the bus at stop 8 and it was about the start its loop again but at the next stop were were told we had to get off the bus we were on and board another bus. Automatic commentary is a bit lacking. The staff was fairly indifferent to the passengers and even sometimes just plain rude.

Many stops in prime locations. Best way to sightsee and spend as long as you want at the sites.

I pre Booked my Rome Hop On Hop Off sightseeing Tour 74 Sept 2018 prices that includes free entrance to Vatican Museum Sistine Chapel , plus Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and Colosseum ..
And it works BRILLIANTLY . So easy to book and to use .
Go on the first day of your tour and not before because the vouchers will start as soon as you get onto the bus . A person will give you a Bus Ticket with a Barcode on it , This is your ticket to get on and off the bus , next a Voucher for the Vatican , To redeem this you get off at the stop for the Vatican Museum , Cross over the bridge , Turn left towards a White building where the City Sightseeing Auditorium Visitor Center is , A person will ask , What time you wish to visit the Vatican , They will then print out another timed voucher , with your time on it that you stated . To get into the museum , Follow the crowds or go towards St Peter Basilica , Turn right and go under a arch and follow sign for museum entrance . Dont queue , just carry on to the GROUP entrance barrier , A person will let you in Go to the ticket barrier and a person will give you a ticket to get into the museum .
For the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and Colosseum , Go to the entrance of The Roman Forum first , A person will give you a timed ticket for the Colosseum , You cannot get into the Colosseum until after 2-30pm .So maybe make a day of it visiting Forum , Hill and Colosseum ?
The buss route is on a loop , And the historical sites have numbered stops , 8 stops on route , You cannot go back to the starting point Rome Termini So if you get off at the Colosseum no3 , the bus will then take you to no4 Circo Massimo and so on .
the busses are every 20 mins , Depending on traffic. Its a great way of seeing Rome and its surrounding areas .And it will take you to all of the Historical sites there is to see ..
I recommend this tour ..

This was good. Our intention was to hop on and go all around to see and hear about the highlights and then use the bus as a means of transportation for our 3 days in Rome. The first part we did successfully. Using the hop on hop off for transportation caused us some problems.- mainly it was not easy to find the small little pink signs and follow the times it would arrive. We should have paid attention to land marks to know were the bus picked up. The maps provided were not to scale or easy to follow to get on the bus. The other issue was twice while we were on the bus it would just announce that it was retiring after a certain stop and would drive to the stations making us wait for another bus to get on.. It was time consuming to use the bus for transportation, Taxi would have been the better answer in terms of time and eliminating additional walking.

The ride between the stops are way too long. The bus doe not pass near main attractions, you need to walk way too long. Directions given by tour guides were not quite accurate

This one is my favorite. We have a 72- hours pass. Indeed, the best of Rome in 10 Stops. A must for every first time visitor in Rome.

This is a great way to get around Rome to see the city and where you would like to spend time sightseeing. We did have a little difficulty in finding where to catch the bus as there are several different companies. But once we figured that out, it was easy. Definitely a great way to get around Rome.

I was disappointed. I usually do hop on hop off buses everywhere I go to get a feeling regarding where I’d like to come back and visit. I thought the ride was and rushed and barely enough to take a photo or even look at it. The recorder was either ahead or behind, if you’re not paying attention you would miss it. Also, I purchase on line and found it cheaper if you buy on the spot. Overall, I wasn’t impressed.
