We had an absolutely wonderful time! Omar was an amazing guide with an extensive knowledge on the culture and history of Ecuador. There was not a single dull moment between Omar's amazing commentary and the beautiful scenery. Every stop we made was so full of history, this was without a doubt a great way to take in a lot of the natural beauty Ecuador has to offer. Make sure to take cash for snacks ans crafts as it is a long day full of sightseeing and traveling. Recommend this tour 100

Another great tour! We were lucky that the day was Clear and could see most of he volcanoes on our way to cayambe. The bizcochos we tried were delicious and the Otavalo market offered an array of options for buying Ecuadorian handicrafts. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Great tour! Our guide Omar was great! The day was clear so we were lucky to see a lot of volcanoes as we drove north of Quito. Our first stop was in Quitsato - where the middle of the world is located. The guide offered interesting information about the place and how they designed and built the sundial. The views of the Cayambe volcano from this area were amazing. After this, we enjoyed breakfast in the town of Cayambe where tried the famous bizcochos and queso de hoja. They were delicious! As we drove to Otavalo, an Otavalian girl got on the bus to explain the traditional clothing of the Otavalo women and sing a song in quechua - it was very interesting to learn about their traditions as it provided some background before we visited the town. Once we reached the Otavalo market, we had a few hours to shop. The market is colorful and has amazing handicrafts and Ecuadorian souvenirs for reasonable prices. After Otavalo, we went to Cuicocha crater lake where we did a short hike to take pictures and enjoy the view. We had lunch in the town of Cotacachi. Once again, food was amazing with great vegetarian options! We enjoyed the famous helados de paila for dessert which didn't disappoint! Overall. another amazing tour with a knowledgeable guide and the opportunity to visit unique places to experience the culture of Ecuador! Would definitely recommend it!

I would have liked to spend a little time at the Midad del Mundo monument as well, at least for a short time.

It was a great time, Francisco and Patricio with Eco-Tour Ecuador were very welcoming and knowledgeable. They shared a great deal history and culture, plus the market was entertaining. Tip: bring cash and prepare for a long day.

Our guide was very informative and spoke English well. There were also Spanish speaking tourists on the tour, and he did a good job of switching between languages to make sure no one missed anything. All of the stops were very enjoyable, and lunch was very good.

This tour does not stop at the popular monument on the equator that you have probably seen pictures of, this one is a large sundial, and the employees explain the difference in the night sky at the equator and also their mission to have a differently oriented map. This part is not bad, but not what we were expecting.

I've been to a couple other indigenous markets and it was very similar. This one was a bit larger and had some items I have not seen before, but there were also items that were brought from Peru. I have seen the same sweaters and hats and other alpaca items in the markets in Peru, some even had Peru written right on the item. I can tell you that these items you can buy for 5-12 dollars cheaper in Peru, so you might as well wait if you are going there. The other stops were great and Omar was a great tour guide.

It's a trip to a tourist market. It is beautiful countryside, though.
