Saona Island Day Trip and Cruise from Punta Cana

Pablo was an excellent host and the trip may be the best excursion we have taken in the Caribbean. Expect it to last all day and plan accordingly.

Great trip, pick up was a little hectic in the morning, but ended up just fine. They picked us up promptly at the time they said they would, we just had to transfer vans, overall just fine. Fantastic tour guide, I believe his name was Raphael, very knowledgeable, kind and spoke at least four languages. The tourist souvenir place they take you to is overpriced, I'm sure you could barter, but I did not feel like doing so. It was a nice quick stop though and we were the first ones there. Snorkeling went fast, but was fun! Natural pool was beautiful. I appreciate that they care about the starfish and take care that tourists don't keep them out of the water for too long. We were also the first to get to Saona Island. Great food, gorgeous scenery. The locals will try to convince you to get a massage or buy some jewelry, but are kind and just trying to earn a living. Overall wonderful day and happy we were almost always the first one at each place to beat the rush!
