What You Can Expect

In either the morning or afternoon, make your own way to Porto’s City Hall to greet your guide. Beginning at Avenida dos Aliados, a grand, Beaux-Arts boulevard that stretches to Liberdade Square, you’ll stroll past historic monuments and visit Torre & Igreja dos Clerigos, the city’s architectural symbol.

Proceed to the Palacio da Bolsa and admire the façade of Porto Se Cathedral, the oldest surviving structure in the city. Throughout, your guide provides commentary that exposes Porto’s past and present.

See, too, the Church of São Francisco, behind whose Gothic façade lies a multitude of Baroque finery, and ascend the Stairs of Truth to reach Sao Bento Station, Porto’s principle train station.

Back on Avenida dos Aliados, you’ll head inside a wine store to enjoy a tasting session of fine Port wine. Your tour concludes here.
