We are in our 60's and this was so easy. Slight hill down, but always pedaling. The scenery was beautiful. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area.
Great trip. Steve was informative and fun to listen to. I'm not really into history but he made it so interesting. What a great guy too. The ride was so easy for my wife and I ,both in our 60s. Viator made it easy to book and even saved us a few bucks. The tour company called the day before to schedule a pickup a our hotel and the whole trip was flawless. Thank you Steve.
The weather was perfect and the landscape was very scenic from the recent storms! It was a very easy coasting ride. It was an addition treat to hear about the desert vegetation and how it was used in the past along the way.
This is an awesome bike tour through the canyon. We did with a couple of friends while vacationing in Palm Desert. Ok for most ages and biking abilities
Very relaxing, easy going ride that allowed you to free wheel most of the time and very little effort the rest of the time. Steve was very knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. We are late fifties and non athletic and it was no problem for us apart from the heat being that it was the end of June 2018.
Only disappointing aspect was that it wasn't a 4 hour hour bike ride as it takes 45 minutes to get to and from the drop off point and half an hour in rest stops so it actually was more like an hour and half to 2 hour ride dependent on your speed.
Would definitely recommend though.
Our Downhill Bike Adventure was cool - literally and figuratively 40's-50's.
Raoul was very informative about the area's history and geography!
The first 3rd of the ride was pretty bland - straight downhill ride/coast with no real change in terrain or topography, but the rest of the ride was interesting - more winding, canyon walls, rock formations, sights and views of Salton Sea, agriculture, etc...
It's truly a great downhill ride, but it doesn't follow the San Andreas fault. We could look at the fault from afar, but it's not apparent at all. The tour guides were good and we stopped for date shakes on the way back to our motel.

The bike trip was fantastic. It's an easy gradual ride downhill where you view the changing desert landscape. Our tour guide, Ron, shared lots of information about the area and little known facts. We would give Ron 5 stars, but I'm giving 4 stars because the process of signing up was a bit confusing on Viator you had a choice to select which hotel you were staying at for pickup, but the reality was, there was no hotel pick up. Also, having choice of times in the checkout process would have made it easier we had to call the tour company directly to find out the times available. These were little issues, but frustrating nonetheless, and could be an easy fix. The bike equipment was top-notch. And the date shakes were yummy!
It is an easy 20 mile ride, and good scenery. The guide we had was nice, knew the area well and it was organized. I love riding bike, they were a little old, so make sure to check the tires, mine was flat and test ride the gears. I have taken a lot of excursions, but I do not think this excursion is worth 105. I mean a family of 4 420 to ride 20 miles. Really,
