This is a great way to get introduced to the city. Take it for the full loop and then go back to the sites you were most interested in. The drivers/guides were great, and had so much information on Nashville.
This was a great way to see Nashville at our own pace. Our guide, Uriah, was amazing! He was pleasant and very knowledgeable! This is a must to do in Nashville!
My friend and I did this and loved it. Great way to see Nashville while learning some cool history!
Loved this tour. Having the time to take at points of interest was great. One of our drivers, David, suggested a great restaurant, Demos, for lunch. Really liked the chicken salad. All the drivers knew the city extremely well.
This was a great tour. The advantage was that you could do half the stops in one day and the following day complete your tour. We had a few different tour guides. Our favorite was Gigi, she made sure she told you if a museum charged an admission and how much it was so it helped with deciding if you wanted to pay or stay on the bus. She also gave you hours of operation.
Excellent two day pass for gray line double decker bus or trolley. Great introduction to the city, and gets you around town in a very pleasant way.
We thought this was a great tour. We bought the 2-day pass and ended up with 4 or 5 different drivers over the course of those 2 days. We made our initial loop with Otis, who was great, to get the lay of the land, then hopped off and back on at various stops - Parthenon, Hattie Bs, farmer's market, etc. Another driver Joe maybe? was also excellent. Each driver had slightly different information about each stop and added his or her own spin to the tour. A bus or trolley comes by each stop every 30 minutes, so you can hang out at an attraction for 30 minutes or an hour, then hop back on the next trolley or bus. I recommend riding the trolley over the roof of the double decker bus since the wind and noise on the bus makes it difficult to hear. This tour is on the red and green trolleys and the blue buses. Another company operates the orange and green trolleys - easy to confuse. However, the drivers will be looking for the sticker they give you when you check in the first day, so you won't get on the wrong tour.
Tour was good as always but our
guide was very low energy. When we rode later to move around the city, the guides were very good!
Very informative. We used this service for 2 days to discover Nashville, staff was polite and knowledgeable.
Good way to see the city, particularly on a rainy or chilly day. The drivers were very informative and the route is great for getting off and seeing the key sites around Nashville.
Good tour! The only down side is the hours of operation it would of have been better if company would include all day ticket vs purchasing a seperate ticket for noght time and day time. Tour guides were informative and helpful.
Worth the money- for the extra day as a bonus. It took us all around, informative and easy to use. The top deck allowed a nice breeze during the hot hot weather. Nashville is one of the friendliest places of locals I have ever been.
Great way to see the lay out of the city. Provides needed transportation to get around this extensive area.
We had a very informed tour guide who shared a wealth of information about the city.
Overall, we had a pleasant and informative visit to the city.
We did have two issues we would like to share.
1. We took the first tour on Sunday morning.
When we arrived at the Parthenon at approximately 9:45, the tour guide allowed us to depart the bus to
visit. However, it was Sunday morning at the exhibit didn't open till 12:30. We were forced to wait in the sweltering heat
for the next bus.
2. The other issue involved the RCA Studio B tour. We were told that this was a normal drop point but due to
road construction, it was not accessible that day, so we went back the next day on our own. However, when we arrived,we were told that entry was only available by purchasing admission at the Country Music HOF. This was information not provided by the tour guide.
Since our time was short, we were not able to see the Studio. This was a disappointment.
It was informative however, I felt there was too much of a wait between buses. There was also some confusion when we got the tickets, the girl told us 2 different bus colors we could take but when we tried to board the color she said, we were told we could not. We had to wait for the other color bus.
Hop on Hop off had standing room only. Couldn't see or hear. While they were apologetic they said there was nothing they could do about it. Next bus was 45 minutes and likely that was going to be as full. No extra buses to handle overflow crowd. Never had this on a hop on hop off before.
The kiosk was not opened until 1040 am was suppose to be open at 900 am. The first driver had a attitude the second was better. when we got picked up at a location we went on the rest of tour at the end we were ask to leave the bus and wait for 30 min for the next bus. It was easyer to walk. the bus only went to 4pm not 5 pm as stated in the information. we also ended up walking from the last location.
I do not recommend this hop on hop off tour.
Worst city tour I have ever taken. Very little background history offered regarding the sights, just a perfunctory mention of the name of the buildings, most of which had the names on them to begin with. Perhaps the trolley tour would have been better. Very disappointed.
