What You Can Expect

Admission to Mystic Seaport

Sea history alive!

Make your way to Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut, and present this voucher for admission to “The Museum of America and of the Sea.” You’ll have the entire day to explore the seafaring village, galleries, and ships, with plenty of time to experience the things that interest you most.

Don’t miss the remarkable Charles W. Morgan, a square-rigged whaling vessel that’s the oldest American commercial ship still afloat (only the USS Constitution is older). Staff and historians are on hand throughout Mystic Seaport to answer questions and help bring America’s maritime history to life. Visit a cooperage, ship-smith, print shop, and a ship carver’s workshop, where you can learn about daily work in a 19th-century coastal town. Even Mystic Seaport’s gardens tell a story about 19th-century America, with a pair of reproduction historic gardens from the humming Industrial Age.

Save plenty of time for the museum’s exhibition halls, where permanent and changing exhibits explore maritime history, art, and culture: find figureheads, vintage photography, restored vessels, carvings, and more.

We really enjoyed Mystic Seaport. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, but we certainly didn't have to worry about crowds due to the weather. It was interesting to walk the the boat yard and see the boat they were restoring. The tall ships and the guides were very interesting. We found the people working there to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Really enjoyed the quaintness of the village and the buildings.

Although mystic village is showing outwardly their age, they have updated a few exhibits
with hands on technology. We are senior citizens and found the exhibits interesting. Young
may find it boring

Very enjoyable. We are a couple with no children so we enjoyed the lectures and demonstrations.
