The tour was amazing - from the time of pick up to return back to the pier !! Mario, our tour guide was outstanding !!! We literally saw and did everything that was there in Moorea to do and see - Mount Bali Hai, Majic mountain, Vanilla farm, Pineapple distillery and miles and miles of fertile volcanic fields of pineapple groves !!! I would highly recommend this tour !!!
Our driver and guide Ron was exceptionally good. He provided more information that we ever expected and had a delightful personality. We enjoyed everything on the trip, even the steep drive up Magic Mountain. The Vanilla Bean stop was also excellent. We would recommend this excursion to anyone.
A nice tour of the island with interesting views of crafts, historic sites, and view points.
Mario was our tour guide he was so funny and very informative. He went out of his way to make sure we were all involved. The vehicle he used was comfortable but remember this is a off road trip in parts so you must expect some bumps along the way. The tour was worth every penny. As for Mario he was a one off in a very good way.
The tour guide was perfect. Her driving was so good it was unbelievable. She explained every thing in detail and also told us the myths and legions that have been told over many years. The whole tour was brilliant and was picture postcard perfect. The rain only showed itself at the end of the tour. Thank you Karen, you made the beautiful island perfect.
Guide, Mario, was everything you want the complete guide to be: friendly, courteous, informative, proficient in several languages, hilariously funny and patient. He waited for our late ferry from Papeete on a stormy day and provided us with umbrellas and tons of information about Moorea, Polynesia, etc better than any guide book. He answered all questions and made sure we had a satisfying 1/2 day tour in his trusty truck ---- and he is some driver! Did we mention he is funny? He will keep you laughing in several languages while sharing his love for beautiful Moorea. Mario is Italy's best export since pizza. The tour is much more than sights and pineapple farm --- Mario immerses you in experience of Polynesia from volcano beginning to now. It was an all around best value for the --- worth every penny.
Mario was amazing! This was such a great tour to really see all the key parts of Moorea. Such a great day!
This tour was amazing!
We were at tender from a cruise ship and were met at the pier by Karen, our driver and guide. The vehicle was a 4 WD truck with seating for 8. Karen was good at both guiding and driving, especially when the roads deteriorated into tracks. This was a tour not for the faint hearted - hair raising terrain, hairpin bends and gradients of 1 in 2, you had to hang on to the rails or be bumped out! We were driven into the hills with stunning views and to the middle of the island where insect repellent is a necessity. Karen posed lots of questions and gave lots of answers. I now know why vanilla is so expensive, but you will have to go on the tour to find out! Very good value for money, especially when compared with cruise ship price.

Mario was informative and very entertaining. Our group consisted of one American couple us, one Argentinean couple and one Italian couple. Mario is Italian and speaks Spanish as well as English. He managed to do his tour and tell many jokes in 3 languages without missing a beat. The vanilla plantation and pineapple processing plant were great stops - loved the alcoholic pineapple drinks. There were great views and photo opps. In our opinion, Mario's tour is a preferable option to the ATV tours, which go the same places, because you get to interact with other travelers in his 4x4.
