Augusta was a great guide for this tour. She was very high energy and knowledgeable. Augusta got us to the changing of the guard right on time and with the best view, I'm giving this tour a high rating based on her. There is a long wait after the changing of the guard and the Buckingham palace tour that seemed like wasted time. Also, the afternoon tea was nice but we were given a special menu different than if you just walked in on your own. This was disapointing as the regular customer afternoon tea is better than what we were served.

Augusta was the guide for Westminster Abbey and she was wonderful.
This day would have been the perfect tour except for the rain. It rained all day but we still enjoyed the tour. The tour guide for Westminster Abbey was very nice and informative. Not much happened with the changing of the guards because of the rain. However the Buckingham Palace part was a bit hurried since another guide came late and caused us to go in late and we were rushed to see all the things. The tea however was exceptional. It was grand and very enjoyable.
Great tour. I thought the afternoon tour guide was better than the morning. Gavin afternoon guide was great!!! The Abbey was beautiful!! Would highly recommend this tour!
We recently visited London and took this combo tour. We had an excellent guide into the Abbey - Allison - who provided a wealth of information and history. Well worth it on this portion and lots to see. We then walked about 10 minutes for the changing of the guard. Thousands of onlookers so this was a brief glimpse of about 5-10 minutes. Then on to Buckingham Palace after a lunch break you do on your own. The palace visit is unguided, and a self-walk through with audio headsets. The palace itself is just okay. Windsor Castle is much more elaborate and intimate of an experience in comparison. The afternoon tea is held offsite in a local hotel. So a little misleading as we thought it would be on the palace grounds. The guides and organization are of course Viator terrific. It was just the Buckingham Palace and Tea portion that reduced the rating to only 3 stars. Not that anyone did their job poorly, just because it was a ho-hum experience in comparison to other trips we have taken.
The Westminster Abbey part of the day was quite nice. We met our guide who was informative and kept us moving. The rest of the day was disappointing. We could barely see or hear the Changing of the Guard we were so far away. We were dropped off and told to find a spot. When I asked about the afternoon's meeting place the guide had no idea. Apparently we were to have another guide. I understood I was going to have a break but being dropped off and having 21/2 hours to figure things out was not what I had in mind. Some direction would have been appreciated. The Buckingham Palace tour was great but the guide led us to security and the tour was totally self guided using a headset. She did not even go in to the palace. A time was arranged to meet at the end of the tour and we were walked to a nice hotel for tea. I would have preferred sitting upstairs at a table for two but we were escorted downstairs to share a table with strangers. I feel I could have done most of the day by myself. Disappointing.
