Pick up your bike at the rental shop in South Lake Tahoe, and start your adventure with some instruction and safety guidelines for riding around the lake area. You’ll also receive a map that’s yours to keep.
When you’re ready, take off on your bike to explore however you wish—go in search of a place to relax on the water like Nevada Beach, Timber Cove, Lakeside or the Tahoe Keys, or if you feel like a bigger workout, pedal all the way to Emerald Bay, one of Tahoe’s most popular and scenic spots. Perhaps stop at a lakeside eatery for a snack or lunch, or check out Van Sickle Trail, which winds around Heavenly Mountain Resort. Go as big or as little as you want, from steep, rugged tracks to flat, leisurely paths.
When booking, select a 4-hour or 8-hour rental, and choose the type of bike that suits your interests: a cruiser (ideal for bike paths, riding around town or beach hopping), a mountain bike (select this if you plan to ride through the mountains on single tracks and downhill trails), a tandem bike (perfect for couples or riding with big kids) or a bike with a kid-carrier (great if you have a small child who isn’t ready for a bike of his or her own).
Simply return your bike to the rental shop when your time ends.
