Check in at the tour office in South Lake Tahoe to start your Jet Ski ride to Emerald Bay. Meet your guide and receive a safety briefing before putting on your provided life jacket and hopping on your Jet Ski.
Follow your guide west from the marina to Emerald Bay, a National Natural Landmark that’s at the top of Lake Tahoe’s must-see list. The ride is about 6 miles (10 km), during which you can admire the snowcapped mountains that surround the lake until you reach the bay, recognizable by Fannette Island, the lake’s only island. Pull up on the beach and hop off your Jet Ski to take a look at Vikingsholm, a mansion from 1929 that sits right on the shore of the bay. Hear a bit about its architecture and history, which put it on the National Register of Historic Places, and then take a leisurely hike to Eagle Falls with your guide.
When you get back to the beach, hop on your Jet Ski for the return ride to the marina in South Lake Tahoe, where you may be able to play around a bit more on your Jet Ski if there’s time left before your tour ends.
