Cook and taste traditional Turkish food such as soups (mercimek çorba, tarhana çorba), mezes (starters) sucha s dolma (grape leaves stuffed with rice), main courses (mantı, güveç, karnıyarık, köfte), and desserts (irmik helvası and kabak tatlısı). While you participate in the hands-on preparation, learn about Turkey's traditional food and the role it plays in the Turkish way of life. Find out about spices, olive oils, cheeses, coffee and tea essential to making Turkish cuisine. You'll walk away with recipes and knowledge that will help you recreate these meals at home.
Sit down with your small group and dig in to the delicious meal you've prepared, tasting to your newfound skills. After your meal, you'll be dropped off back at your Istanbul hotel.
