Make your way to a central location in Hoi An, and meet your guide for a 5pm departure. Walk to a nearby restaurant that’s known for the quality of its bahn bao vac, or white rose dumplings, a tender dumpling topped with crispy fried onions that’s only made in Hoi An. Try making a few of your own before tasting dumpling made by the experts, who shape up to 6,000 dumplings by hand each day.
Continue to a nearby alley to try banh can crackers served with quail eggs, pork, and salad: this snack is one of the highlights of Hoi An street food cuisine. Walk to another location to try grilled pork satay and spring rolls, crunch into a crisp fried wonton, then finish your roving meal with cao lau, noodles with smoked pork and crisp greens, or chicken with rice.
The final stop of the day is Sky Coffee Bar, a favorite local hangout that’s inside the Hoi An Museum, where you can chat about the day’s tastings over a beer, coffee, or water. This 3-hour food tour concludes at Sky Coffee Bar.
