Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.
From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time.
After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.
Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.
The day was amazing! Siena is a beautiful little city with lots of history. The lunch was great and there was time to buy from the winery gift shop at the end to bring home some of the wine and pasta you tasted. Pisa was small and just enough time to climb the tower. Buy the ticket to climb, it's worth it! Our guide was great! There is water for sale on the bus which was good.
This was a great way to see so many places in a short amount of time. We never felt rushed and we were given so much wonderful information in a concise way. Sarah was our guide and I give her 5 stars (more if i could!). We loved her so much we booked another tour for the following day that she led. (Also incredible). You’ll love the amount of time you have in each stop, the food at the farm was unbelievable.
a day well spent with Angela our guide, and Marcos the bus driver. they were well organized, very punctual. the tour was very interesting. the destinations were well picked. a must for everyone visiting Tuscany area.
Elisa, our tour guide and Roberto our driver made a great team . The tour was very well thought out. with attention to every little detail from the variety of sights to entertaining us on the drives between sites with interesting bits of history and humor to the wonderful organic farm meal and wine tour. We synchronized our watches had clear instructions on where and when to meet and got to see a wide variety of things. I would highly recommend this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Oh my gosh, we had such a wonderful day. There is no way we would have covered so much in one day without this tour. Angie and Marco were fantastic. Every stop was incredible and the lunch was delicious. We were a bit apprehensive bringing our 5 year old along but there was no need. Don't miss this one!
this was the most incredible tour - something I still look back very fondly. Gloria our guide is incredible and most lovely, knowledgeable and humourous guide. We loved all the places we visited on the tour, especially the Tuscan countryside and each of the amazing towns. Our favourite though was Sienna - what a special little town. Don't think twice - book this tour and you will carry a lifetime of memories with you!
This was an amazing tour, the lady guide was awesome, very friendly, informative and engaging. Tuscany beauty, rolling hills, Italy country side enchanted us. The best part of the tour was the wonderful lunch with Chianti wine 4 different kind, Pasta, Cheese and salad. Wish we could spend more time in Siena and Pisa. Loved San Gimignano, its castles, view from the hill top and the excellent gelato. The tour is highly recommended and the highlight of our Italy tour. We had joy, we had fun, we had season in the sun.
my teenage son and I spent a few days in florence and booked this tour with walkabout and it was amazing! We especially enjoyed the lunch at the farm with the fabulous views of the vineyard. Our guide was Belen and she was fantastic. It is an all day trip so be prepared to be exhausted by the end but it was worth it.
My fiancé and I wanted to get out of the city for the day and this was absolutely perfect. Tuscany is absolutely beautiful. You get to spend a little time at each location; Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. There’s some walking required but nothing strenuous. It was more than what we could have asked for. Our tourguide Lavi was amazing, she has a ton of knowledge and is available for any questions at any time.
This tour of Tuscany was truly fantastic. My husband and 4 children ( 3 teenagers and a 7 year old ) took this tour since our time in Florence was very limited, and we wanted to visit as much as we could. It was beautiful and informative, and we learned so much more than we could have imagined.Ale, our guide, was smart and funny, and was very engaging. Even though it was a very long day ( 12+ hours ), I highly recommend this tour. All 6 of us enjoyed the day immensely and hope to return to Tuscany again soon!
