Then grab fresh bread, tomatoes and olive oil to create a bruschetta. Take a break to feast on your dishes, sitting down with a glass of Chianti wine.

Return to the kitchen to prepare traditional roast pork, seasoned with fresh herbs from the farm. While the pork cooks, learn how to make the typical Italian dessert, the classic tiramisu.

Finally, reward yourself with your 4-course meal. Complement your roast pork and desserts with Tuscan wine and good conversation. Before returning to Florence, you’ll receive the recipes you learned so you can impress family and friends back at home with your Italian dishes.

This was an eye opening experience that we will always treasure and we look forward to doing again during our next visit. For starters both Gloria and Isak are amazing hosts and really made the experience special. Walking through Florence and the Central Market with Gloria was wonderful as she talked about the history of Florence that always went back to food. The Central Market where we collected our local ingredients was especially fun as we tried different food items as Gloria talked about how the Italians use these staple items (these 2.5 hours breezed by). Afterwards, we walked a few more blocks to an awaiting shuttle that whisked us away into the countryside (the bonus we were not far at all from Florence) to the farmhouse to make our traditional tuscan meal. I do not want to ruin any surprises but taking in the scenery and the 5-course meal itself was divine. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a magical experience. An added bonus we saw double rainbows during the time we were creating and then enjoying our meal.

Chef Isak has a great sense of humour and gave great history and cooking tips throughout our time. We made pesto, bruschetta, pasta, ragu, pork loin, and finally, tiramisu! The food was excellent, and we enjoyed our time at the beautiful farmhouse.

Just enjoyed the local market tour and cooking class with friends - a great time was had by all. I recommned the tour as an excellant introduction to basic Italian cooking and ingredients. Be aware that there is some walking involved - about a mile and most on flat surfaces

This was an amazing experience for our family! Our guide, Gloria, was so cute, bubbly, and a fun guide. We started with our walk to the local market which was so cool. She gave us a tour while we shopped for our ingredients. It was fun to see her interact with the local shop owners. We were able to ask questions while walking around. Then we took a short bus ride to the Farmhouse. The scenery was stunning and the lite rain made it the perfect day to be inside cooking! We were greeted at the Farmhouse by Carmella. Gloria did all the interpreting throughout the afternoon, but Carmella made it a point to learn each of our names. And, it was interesting to hear Italian being spoken the majority of the time. We learned cooking tips, had fun participating in making the meal, and then enjoyed eating it along with sipping vino :) The only suggestion I would make would be to limited the group to 12 people. Our group was 24 ( too big ) and we would have like to have more hands-on throughout the entire meal preparation. That being said, we would still highly recommend this experience. Thank you!

This was one of our favorite excursions while in Florence! Isak was truly amazing - his culinary skills with his comedic delivery made the whole day enjoyable! Carmela was an Italian gem. The farmhouse had amazing views and you felt transported into Tuscan heaven! The cooking was so on-hands and being with others just as eager and appreciative made it a remarkable day, one my husband and I are still talking about!

Isaac and Carmella were fantastic. We learned about food at the market and how to prepare it. The food was great. The view at farmhouse was magnificent. Isaac could be a standup comedian as a second job and has an unbelievable memory remembering all of our names.

From the moment we arrived at the hillside farmhouse till we gathered around the tables at the end of the day it was the most perfect experience. We began by both touring the central market in Florence and watching the exchange between our guide and the vendors. The we arrived at the most magnificent kitchen and setting possible. It was hard to concentrate on the kitchen with all the splendid views out the windows. Our chef and instructor was a true "passionate spirit". It only took a few moments to sense how much she loved her job, life and interacting with all of us. The day passed so quickly and then we got to taste what we made. We made memories that day that will remain with us forever. Ron Hunsicker

What a day! We met our guide/comedian/chef Isaac at the train station with our fellow travelers...26 in all. Within 10 minutes, Isaac had memorized all our names...very smart and entertaining guy. He took us to the market...it was amazing! We boarded the bus and headed to the farmhouse and met Camilla. She is fun, a great chef and a pretty good singer. We cooked a complete meal...which was the best meal of our trip, met many interesting travellers and had many, many laughs...a great day!
