If you like a very crowded bus, and almost no time to go and see anything, then this is the tour for you. There is no organization. They use the cheapest possible transports we were herded on buses, trains and cheap boat, no real guidance, not enough time to visit any of the islands. And for some reason, the bus, if you were lucky to get faster to a better seat, they tell everyone to come back and seat again in those better seats with no regard that maybe let people change seats. Also, they put people of different languages on the same bus, so you couldn't really hear your language since interpreter for other language was talking loudly and making it hard to hear. Overall disappointing, not worth it. It would have been so much better to go by yourself and take your time and actually see an island. is 30-40 minutes really enough to see an island if 20 or more minutes are needed to get back to meeting point??

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and did a great job keeping everyone together on the bus, trains and ferry! It's an early start but well worth it!

A fantastic, fast-paced tour of beautiful Cinque Terre. The 1 hour short stops could be longer but there is plenty of time to take a few photos, indulge in traditional cuisine from each place, and maybe sip on an Aperol spritzer! A must!

The Cinque Terre towns are beautiful. There were about 80 people on our tour alone - and MANY other bus tours following. I was there around mid-to-late September and it was packed. Our tour guide told us we were lucky as no cruise ships were docked that day - which would have added 2000-3000 more people at these little towns. This is a LONG day, be prepared to walk a lot and get on/off trains all day. We weren't able to do the ferry as the ocean was too rough. I would have loved to have done this tour on our own and taken my time at each spot, but if you are short on time and need someone to guide you, this would be a good one for you. Just be aware - LOTS of people!

This tour is good if you want to get a taste of Cinque Terre. We visited 4 of the 5 villages and they are all very charming.
We started in Manarola and had about 20 minutes to walk around, next we took the train to Riomaggiore and again had about 20 minutes there. Then we took a boat to Monterosso, which was my favorite part of the tour as we could see all 5 villages from the water. Once we got to Monterosso, we had 2.5 hours of free time. I had lunch here and you also have enough time for a quick swim or for some shopping. Finally, we took a train to Vernazza and had about 30 minutes to spend. This village has a cathedral and a tower which you can climb, and I paid less than 5 Euros to do.
A few caveats on this tour: 1. Our group was very large 50 people. 2. The guide did not wait for people to go to the next village or to go back to Florence. A few people missed the meeting time at one village and had to find a way to rejoin the group at another village. This isn't really difficult as the trains between villages run frequently and it takes about 2 minutes to get from one village to the next. Also, the gentleman sitting next to me on the bus from Florence to Cinque Terre wasn't on the bus on the way back to Florence at the end of the tour. So, you have to make sure you're punctual or you'll be left behind.
Next time I will probably try to spend at least a couple of nights in Cinque Terre to better experience the villages, but this tour was a good introduction.

Cinque Terre is a lovely but extremely busy place. Our guide was not the best as she failed to be there when we got off boat and had to ask other people as to departure time and meeting place. She also had trouble with the train times and she nearly put us on the wrong train and was confused as to how many stops before we got off. Only had 45 minutes to spend in one town which just allowed for a quick walk to seafront and back again. We had been to Cinque Terre before and was taking our friends who did not enjoy the experience as they felt they were treated like cattle with the three trains we took
