After pickup from your Dubai hotel, journey south along the desert highway to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Learn information about the city and desert from your private guide, and as you approach Abu Dhabi, marvel at the views of the futuristic skyscrapers rearing up from the empty sands.
On arrival, stop at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the biggest in the world. Tour the courtyards of this modern masterpiece, built to accommodate 40,000 worshipers and constructed from pure white Greek and Macedonian marble.
Admire the Islamic architecture of the domes and pillars, and head inside to see the main prayer hall. Gaze at the massive chandeliers and showpiece: the world’s largest hand-woven carpet, as you hear fascinating facts about how it was made.
Continue into the city center, and stop for photos outside the lavish Emirates Palace, one of the planet’s most luxurious hotels. Then, travel to the Abu Dhabi Heritage Village, a reconstruction of a traditional oasis village, and stroll through the souvenir shops to find Emirati gifts. Take photos of Abu Dhabi’s skyline from here, and afterward, enjoy free time for retail therapy and lunch (own expense) at a shopping mall.
After meeting back up with your guide, cruise along the garden-lined Corniche past Abu Dhabi’s skyscrapers to Yas Island. This man-made island is a major entertainment hub, and boasts the Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World, Yas Marina, and other cutting-edge attractions.
Enjoy a photo op outside Ferrari World, the world’s first and only Ferrari-branded theme park. Capture shots of the huge red Ferrari badge that covers the park, and get free time to browse the souvenir shop.
Lastly, drive back to Dubai, where your tour concludes with a hotel drop-off.
