After about 45 minutes, head to Playa Norte, considered one of the best beaches around. During your hour here, check out the shallow white-sand waters full of colorful fish. Next, spend an hour in downtown Isla Mujeres, and independently explore the jewelry shops, souvenir stores, and art galleries.
Then, back in your boat, navigate through the back canals of Isla Mujeres, Cancun’s own Venice. Admire stately homes and marines along the way, and stop at a beach club for a tasty buffet lunch: Maya-style tikin-xic fish, crispy salad, Caribbean-style rice, and drinks from a domestic open bar.
After relaxing at the beach club for about two hours, continue to the Mayan Temple of Ixchel (Fertility Goddess of the Mayans) and the Underwater Sculpture museum.

Well it was a great day, but I must say, I was disappointed with a couple things, first , the picture showed a catamaran that has the sails and netting to stretch out on, what we boarded was a party boat. Secondly, we went snorkeling and there was not enough equipment for 2 of my 4 people to snorkel. When you have a number of people reserved , you should have that amount of equipment. So people who paid to snorkel could not. The sites that we snorkel at were not very exciting as far as snorkeling should be, the second location was off the beach in shallow water, not much to see, I thought we were going to the National park area were the underwater monuments were. The rest was fun, the crew was fun, the food at the beach club was good, going to hold the sharks extra was good. Had a fun day
The day started with hotel pick up and a continental breakfast. Pick up was late enough that we were able to eat a full breakfast at the hotel, which gave us time to take pictures and walk around the port area before boarding instead of trying to eat. We boarded and were introduced to our crew. We quickly came to the first snorkeling spot and were cautioned about only going if we were strong swimmers. I think if you follow directions as long as you can swim you'd be okay. Returning to the boat it became a party boat, drinks were flowing and dancing by crew and passengers commenced. Lunch was a buffet with a lot of options, I'm vegetarian and still was full. Playa Norte was the next snorkeling spot and it was awesome. Headed to the downtown Isla Mujeres and was tired. Getting back on the boat the crew was ready to keep us awake and lively. One dressed as a Luchador and another wearing a Sarape and Sombrero. It was easy to see other people boarding other tour boats wanted to be on our boat. The dancing of the crew continued and we were also entertained by Mini Batman on the return to the port. We got back about 7 PM, a day full of fun and new experiences well worth every penny on this trip.
Isla Mujeres was by far the most fun I've had on the tours I've taken. The staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make sure every minute was enjoyable.They played music throughout the boatride and the MC- yes they had an MC on the boat!, kept everyone entertained. There was never a shortage of drinks for those who don't get seasick and dancing was encouraged. I appreciated all the stopovers we took and all the activities planned. The current was a little too strong for me so I didn't snorkel but those who were brave enough said they enjoyed it and saw lots of fish. Isla Mujeres itself is a beautiful island. I liked that there was enough time between each activity to explore on our own. The food during lunch was amazing! I was well-fed and again, drinks were readily availiable. This day-trip was well-planned and I appreciate the time the staff took in ensuring everyone had a memorable time. Definitely, highly-recommend everyone go on this day-trip.
All I can say about Isla Mujeres in one word is - Awesome. Definitely, I would recommend this to everyone who visits Cancun. The crew members were very energetic. We did snorkeling in the mid of the ocean, had delicious lunch with an awesome view. Unlimited drinks on board and DJ was fantastic. They involved us all in doing all the activities. Made us dance with them on boat too. Everyone enjoyed the trip.
