This is a great tour, visiting some of the greatest places in Beijing. If we did it again, we would probably try to do a little less this made for a rather long and quick-moving day. Our guide, Carrie, spoke excellent English and gave terrific information about the places we visited. The lunch stop may seem touristy, but in fact it was a wonderful meal.
Dana was the most amazing guide. She has an excellent command of history and accommodating for her group. She was full of wonderful stories, excellent English, was an amazing host for lunch, ordered great food and adjusted on the go. I can't say enough good things about her, except that we wish we could have taken her to Xian the next day.
Maria provided an excellent tour and we had an enjoyable Peking duck lunch.
Excellent tour, well organised with a very good guide. Very informative and interesting tour covering main sights and including a tasty lunch. Despite the very cold weather on the day it was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommendable.
We couldn't have loved our tour with Angie more! She was thorough and allowed us to do everything at our own pace. The lunch was authentic and so delicious. We loved the history of each place.
Great comprehensive tour taking in all the main attractions in Beijing. It was a great day but being low season they werent that busy which was awesome. I even took a perfect picture of the Temple of Heaven without people in it. Definitely worthwhile. The meal was nice as well.

This tour was part of a three week Asia vacation, and it was certainly a highlight! Angie is an excellent guide for this type of adventure. She was on time ready to go, full of knowledge, helpful information, and took excellent care of our group! This is a must do tour simply due to the volume of information you have access to and the number of notable sights on the agenda. The great thing is that you are on foot and up close and personal with so much history. Angie made sure we got our history lesson and was able to keep things moving at the same time. You will never be bored on this tour. Lunch was fantastic! Great uncrowded restaurant with great duck and a full menu for everyone in our party.
This was a great tour to start our visit to Beijing. It showed us an overall viewing of the city and highlighted several major sights. Our guide was very accommodating and adjusted our tour to visit the park north of the Forbidden City for some wonderful views of the city rather than tour the Forbidden City since we had an in-depth tour later in the week with her tour group scheduled for the Forbidden City. This was a great recommendation and we really appreciated it. The Summer Palace was beautiful and the boat ride across the lake was wonderful. A really great tour guide made this a tour to highly recommend.
Angie went the extra mile to give us the Best experience on this trip! She explained everything in detail with her impeccable English. This tour involves a lot of walking but well worth the effort. This was the highlight of our two weeks in China. Well worth the extra for a private tour. This is a spectacle not to be missed,a well put together tour.
Our excellent guide Lili managed a comprehensive day tour to 4 of the major highlights of Beijing. It rained all day but that did not detract from the days enjoyment! Lili was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. Peking Duck for lunch is not to be missed!
Our tour guide Angie was the best! So informative about China history and culture! It was one of the best days of our two-week trip in China. Thank You!
Our guide Angie was really fantastic and really looked after us. She was knowledgeable, helpful and kind, and happily allowed us to take the tours at our own pace. The tour itself was amazing - we loved the park at the summer palace seeing the local people enjoying themselves, and the forbidden city is everything you might expect it to be. A great trip.
Wonderful tour, was great with having a tour guide who new the ropes in how to avoid lines especially on a very hot and humid day. Our guide Helen provided history of the various places and we had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Would recommend!
Tracy was amazibg and very flexible with our schedule. She also took us on peking duck restaurant. It is the best duck that we ever taste.
This is a great introduction to the main highlights in Beijing. It was a memorable tour. Helen speaks English very well and is very knowledgeable about her city and culture. We covered a lot of the city but the day was well-paced with enough time to appreciate the sights and take photographs. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors with limited time in the city.
Angie was my tour guide. She was knowledgeable and efficient. Her English was easy to understand and the tour was well worth the price. She contacted me at the hotel the night before the tour and verified that she would be meeting me at 8am, She arrived early and was waiting when I entered the lobby. Definitely wear comfortable shoes as there is a large amount of walking over the eight hours of the tour. The lunch was outstanding and was without a doubt the best local cuisine I had over the course of my trip to China.
Our guide Serena met us at our hotel on time, and led us on a pleasant and informative outing to the must see sights in Beijing. Her English was very good, she told us about Beijing generally, the places we visited and their history, and answered our questions. Our group was just two people, so we traveled in comfortable, air conditioned sedan. The driver drove safely, dropped us off within easy walking distance of our destinations and picked us up promptly. We had a relaxing lunch in a nice restaurant, with Peking duck and several other dishes of our choice. We had plenty of time to look at museum exhibits and do a little shopping. We were not pressured to buy anything. I recommend this tour and the tour operator.
Andy was a terrific tour guide and went out his way to ensure my family had a great time in Beijing. He was able to time everything perfectly and made sure we were all well rested before getting to each destination. The current and historical facts that he was able to share made the tour most valuable. If it was not for him, it would just be another temple and another piece of stone unexplained. But with his knowledge it made the areas more precious and significant. The meals as well as his taste on which destinations to spend more time on was also a plus. If you're able to ask for Andy Chen with the company, jump on the booking immediately as his narrative and guidance will make the trip relaxing and memorable!
Great tour. Can't believe we were able to visit all of this in one day and have a wonderful Peking duck lunch at the same time! Serena was our guide and our driver was Mr. Wu. I can't say enough about their hospitality. They were all about seeing that we had a great time and were able to take in the sites. Serena was so competent and getting us through and ahead of the lines, and yet ensuring we weren't rushed in any way. She was so knowledgeable about the sites. And our driver was amazing in navigating tricky Beijing traffic, dropping us off right where we needed to be and then being there to pick us up and whisk us away to the next site. These are really the top spots to see in Beijing and there is no better, more relaxing and informative way to see them than this tour. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour. Lily, our tour guide was excellent. She knew her way around, also short cuts. Took us to a lovely restaurant and ate Peking duck for the first time, this was delicious. A must experience. Enjoyable day.
A great overview of the main imperial sites in Beijing. It gave me a sense of scope and magnitude of the imperial power and the infrastructure, and set up a stage for further exploration of individual sites. Our guide, Maria, was helpful and adjusted the itinerary to suit our needs.
Just two days before we left for Beijing, we decided that a tour guide was needed to help my family of four navigate our way around the sites of Beijing. Lili and her driver arrived early for our 9am tour and kept us busy for 8 hours. Lili was fun, engaging and informative. She quickly figured us out 2 parents and two boys-- a 22 year old and a 15 year old. She was very patient while we took photos and didn't mind that there was often only two of us listening to all should had to share. The good news was, that it wasn't always the same two! She often pointed out the best spot to snap a photo. She also made sure that we saw the sites from both traditional and nontraditional angles.
Though it wasn't part of our original schedule, Lili waited with all of our camera gear and handbags, while we walked through the Mao Mausoleum.
We dined at a restaurant selected by Lili and it was superb. She made sure we had a sampling of a lot of tasty Chinese food, including Peking duck.
Though Beijing may not be your first choice for a winter getaway, I would highly suggest it. Traveling off peak allowed us to see more, spend more time where we wanted to, and to move from site to site without getting stuck in traffic. Lili mentioned more than once that during the summer months, we could have waited in lines for more than one hour at each site.
Really enjoyed this tour. Helen was our guide. She picked us up at our hotel on time. Helen was very knowledgeable which made for an interesting and enjoyable experience as we toured all of the places. She even made time for me to shop. We had a delicious Peking Duck lunch at a local restaurant. It was great to be dropped off in front of each place and then picked up as we exited. It was a great stress free way to see a lot in a short time.
Lili was absolutely fabulous! She showed and taught us so much about where we were and what had occurred. Highlights of our trip!!
