I was hugely fascinated by the Centre for Civil and Human Rights. It gave me a perspective that was far bigger than you are taught in school. Yes, it covers the more well-known people such as Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks but it opened my eyes to a whole new world of people who fought the fight for justice or supported the push for change and respect like Viola Liuzzo, Ivan Allen Jr , Claudette Colvin and the former coca cola president Robert Woodruff. It is well worth the visit and you must do the lunch counter experience its humbling and shocking in equal measure . The only downside is that when buying tickets via viator you still have to queue up, so it almost defeats the purpose as you may as well queue to buy your tickets

We had visited Memphis previously and this Museum followed on so well. There is a balance of film clips, reading and audio commentary. It was excellent and very moving in parts. Well done for bringing it up to date with all the human rights issues in the world today. Highly recommended.

This is a MUST see. There are parts that are tough to see, but worth it. While I believe we still have a ways to go in this country, it shows how far we've come. Allow plenty of time to go thru this museum.

A wealth of information, and more than we could absorb in a quick afternoon.
