Discover the plants, animals, and people of Australia’s central desert environments during a 1.5-hour evening tour of the Alice Springs Desert Park. Your guide leads you on a nighttime walking tour that allows you to see creatures such as echidna and mala (rufous-hare wallaby) as they become active after dark.
Make your own way to the courtyard of the Alice Springs Desert Park to meet your guide.
Your guide provides you with a specialized head torch for your tour, then sets out on the Mulga Walk, a large predator-proof enclosure that protects a desert habitat that is full of life. Observe some of Central Australia's endangered animals as they go about their nocturnal routines. You might see bilby, echidna, mala, and other creatures that are found around the foothills of the MacDonnell Ranges.
Finish your 1.5-hour evening tour with light refreshments, including coffee and cake, served under the stars.
