Flexible Guide!
Scott_B, Mar 2024
Great tour, our guide Zerefa was amazing! We had actually done two of the items on the itinerary in a previous Addis tour the weekend before, but Zerefa was very flexible in taking us to different spots. Instead of Tomoca and stopping for lunch, we went to the large clothes market and stopped at spice and honey stores. Seeing the enjera business and trying to make some was fun!

Perfect day in Addis.
Rebecca_M, Nov 2023
I had a spare day after a conference in Addis and booked this tour on my phone the night before. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a fantastic time! The driver and tour guide were excellent, the food and coffee we had were delicious, I learned a ton about the country's history and geography and had an all-round excellent day. There was no one else on my tour so it ended up being a private, VIP experience. Highly recommend, especially as a solo female traveller.

Worth the full day adventure
Pratima_G, Feb 2020
Action packed with lots of visually stimulating and delicious adventures- true to the description and lots of photo opportunities. Z is a great guide with excellent English and willing to structure the tour exactly how you want it. I highly recommend it, especially if you are short on time in Addis since it visits all the top culinary spots!

Excellent Tour
savvy_dave, May 2019
Forget the museums and churches, this fantastic tour gave a great insight into the vibrant streetlife and food and drink culture of Addis. The guide ZEREFE and driver TAMIRSAT were both first class. They really took care of me and ensured my safety at all times, even in the most chaotic and crowded parts of Merkato. The markets were fascinating indeed. Something very difficult to experience alone without a guide. I also loved the coffee shop and the family business making injera, although my own attempt was hilariously bad. Lunch was at the historical and fascinating Taitu Hotel and we finished the tour with a coffee ceremony and flask of Tej at Addis Ababa restaurant. Really excellent tour,. Highly recommended.
Inside View of Addis Ababa

This tour took place on Christmas day and was certainly a present for me. The host was warm and engaging, but most importantly, knowledgeable. It was a full day, but not overpoweringI would recommend the tour to anyone who is interested is seeing how Addis lives its daily life both in terms of food and general daily existence. My only suggestion would be, given that this is a culinary tour, for one stop to be at the kitchen of some reputable chef who will show how to use the many herbs and spices that Ethiopians put into the food. It is one thing to know how the bread (injera) is made, another to get amn idea of how to prepare the delicacies that go on top.

We had the pleasure of takeing this...
Octavia H, Mar 2018
We had the pleasure of takeing this tour with Seya as our guide. This young man was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about Ethiopian history and culture. He was very detailed in delivering this information. I have been on several tours on several countries previously but I must say the information/knowledge that I learend from my tours with Seya was unexplainable. If you want to experience and learn about Ethiopia this is the company to book with and if you want to be enlighented requesting Seya as your guide is a must.

Response from Host, Oct 2022
Dear Customer (Prospective Customers), Our operations team had been stuck in the raging Civil War (Siege) in the Northern part of Ethiopia around the period of this tour, in which basic services such as communication (inc. internet) and electricity were suddenly cutoff (still remain cutoff as has been widely covered by international media outlets). We are glad that after seven hellish months, they are safely in Addis Ababa - thanks to the international organizations involved there. To that end, we deeply apologize that you were affected by our situation. We assure you that it was a rare, war-time situation that led us to such a one-star review. To avert such unusual events in the future, we have hired a customer service agent , based outside Ethiopia, to mitigate such risks going forward. Last but not least, we offer you a free tour of Addis Ababa next time you are in Ethiopia - so you can see the seriousness of our team to deliver a memorable experience for you. Sending our warmest regards.
