Marina Bay Sands is a sprawling hotel resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore. Sitting atop the three giant towers of the hotel complex is the 340-meter-long Marina Bay Sands Skypark. Designed by visionary architect, Moshe Safdie, the SkyPark has an impressive capacity of 3900 people, and is one of the largest platforms of its kind in the world.
To get a sense of just how big this seemingly gravity-defying structure is, consider that the SkyPark is larger than the Eiffel Tower if it were laying down! The platform sits 57 floors above the city, and is not only home to a jaw-dropping observation deck, but also picturesque gardens, several restaurants, and a 150meter infinity-edge swimming pool.
Only guests staying at Marina Bay Sands can use the swimming pool and enter the SkyPark free of charge. Visitors not staying at the hotel can buy tickets to the observation deck, which provides unobstructed, panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.
Marina Bay Sands is easily reached via Singapore’s MRT system; alight at Bayfront station on the Circle and Downtown lines, or Marina Bay station on the NorthSouth and Circle lines. The hotel can also be reached by buses and water taxis from various points across the city.
