Just off Front Beach Road and across from its namesake body of water, Gulf World Marine Park is a mostly open-air aquarium home to rough-toothed and bottlenose dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, flamingos, sharks, turtles, penguins, alligators, and reef fish. The park begins and ends at the gift shop, and winds through lushly landscaped gardens to three main theaters and amphitheaters. Daily trainer-led dolphin and sea lion shows highlight animals’ agility and skill, and aquarium shows spotlight the feeding behaviors of grouper and moray eels.
Gulf World Marine Park is located off Front Beach Rd., between the Gulf and Panama City Beach’s West Bay Grand Lagoon. All-day passes include all shows and exhibits at $29 for adults and $19 for children; children under five enter free. The park is open daily from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Most visitors spend three to four hours enjoying Gulf World.
Although Viator tours do not include this activity, the park also offers the chance to feed cownose stingrays, and to train and swim with dolphins and sea lions for an additional fee. Visitors interested in these activities are recommended to schedule ahead.
