The Hollywood Wax Museum, featuring lifelike wax figures of famous figures from television, film, music, and history, offers an exciting break from the sun and sand of Myrtle Beach. The museum offers all kinds of thrills and themed displays, but remains informative and family-friendly. Its two stories feature celebrities such as Katy Perry, Robert Downey Jr., Audrey Hepburn, and Tom Hanks.
Trivia and fun facts are displayed beside most of the exhibits. Many visitors to the museum also enjoy snapping pictures with their favorite figures. Props add to the photo fun.
Outside of celebrity spotting and red carpet walking, there’s also a fun hall of mirrors and a zombie apocalypse zone (best for older children.) The hall of mirrors has 288 potential turns and a princess theme, whereas the Outbreak adventure is an escape from rooms of a lab experiment gone wrong.
Located in the center of Myrtle Beach, the wax museum is at the intersection of Highway 17 Bypass and 21st Avenue. It can be easily found by looking for the giant ape climbing the building. on Admission to the wax museum is $20 for adults, $12 for children ages 4-11. Tickets to the other exhibits are $15 each. Parking on site is free.
